Product Description

The VPSA oxygen system is mainly composed of blower, vacuum pump, switching valve, adsorber and oxygen balancing tank. After the dust particles are removed by the inlet filter, the raw air is pressurized by the Roots blower to 0.3-0.5barg and enters one of the adsorbers. The adsorber is filled with adsorbent, in which water, carbon dioxide, and a small number of other gas components at the adsorber entrance are loaded at the bottom of the activated alumina adsorption, then nitrogen is loaded at the activated alumina upper zeolite adsorption. Oxygen (including argon) is a non-adsorptive component and is discharged from the top outlet of the adsorber as product gas to the oxygen balancing tank.


When the adsorbent is absorbed to a certain degree, the adsorbent will reach saturation state. At this time, the vacuum pump is used to vacuum the adsorbent through the switching valve (opposite to the adsorption direction), and the vacuum degree is 0.5-0.7barg. The adsorbed water, carbon dioxide, nitrogen and a small amount of other gas components are extracted and discharged to the atmosphere, and the adsorbent is recycled.

Process Description

Vacuum pressure adsorption adsorption oxygen production device, under normal temperature conditions, the use of molecular sieve selective adsorption of nitrogen in the air, reduce the adsorption tower pressure to desorption adsorption of nitrogen in molecular sieve, so as to achieve adsorption - desorption cycle operation, continuous production of purity of 80%~95% or more oxygen.

1. The filtered air is transported by the blower and enters the adsorption tower A or B equipped with molecular sieve and activated alumina. When the air flows through the molecular sieve fixed bed in the tower, nitrogen molecules in the air are diffused into the molecular sieve solid under the adsorption force, and oxygen molecules and argon atoms pass through the bed tothe buffer tank for users to use.
2. After a period of adsorption, the molecular sieve particles are filled with nitrogen molecules, reaching the stage of adsorption saturation. At this time, the air inlet valve is closed, and the oxygen-rich air in the tower is used to wash the other tower just pumped. When the pressure drops to a certain value, the pressure equalizing valve is closed, and the inlet valve of the vacuum pump is opened to vacuum the tower body, and nitrogen is discharged.
3. After a certain degree of vacuum, use the oxygen rich in another tower and the middle part of the buffer tank product gas to wash the molecular sieve, so as to make the adsorbent completely desorption. After the desorption process of adsorbent is completed, the tower is charged with product gas, and the buffer valve is closed when the pressure reaches a certain low vacuum value, and the outlet valve of the blower is opened to charge the adsorption tower, so as to prepare for the next adsorption.
